DO WE KNOW GOD?

 

"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." John 17:3
Do you really know God? Not just know about Him from His Word, by theologians, from his works, from His creation - experiencing God, is it an everyday reality in our lives? Do we feel that we are in Christ and Christ is in us - the great mystery. Do we obey Him as Lord, Do we worship Him as befits to a God, do we sense His Father's love not only in blessings but also in testing?

Some say that there are two kinds of experience with God - one banquet, happy, euphoric, filled with happiness - Meeting with the Love of God. The other is in the throne room, similar to that as had Isaiah, Ezekiel, and John - meeting with the Holiness of God.
Do you think if you had only banquet experience, you know God. So even if you shed tears at once, twice ... a dozen times.

When  Peter, Paul, and later John Wesley, George Whitfield, John Wesley Redhead, Charles Spurgeon, Charles Finney, Jonathan Edwards preached, people were stung in their hearts, convicted of their sins by the Holy Spirit and have fallen into a deep condemnation and repentance, sometimes unconscious, which led to a radical change of their lives.
When you meet with the Holiness of God, you may not see the throne, but will react like Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, and John - you will fall on your face and utter, "Woe to me!" And you do not even cover speck of standard of man of God to these men! You will look at your soul through His eyes, you'll see slop and blackness and you will issue groans of pain and anguish you will weep, unable to   take a breath...
"Lord, teach me the ways of thy statutes!" Cried David, realizing his inability to see as God sees.
"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." John 17:3

Do you really know Christ? Do we have a revelation from God what He had suffered on the cross, what it meant for Him, what He felt beyond the shame, humiliation, physical pain and agony? What caused His bloody sweat on the forehead, what did He go through when He said "Illi, Illi, lama savahtani!" ...

If you do not have these two revelations of God - about His Holiness and the about the Cross, I'm telling you, brother, sister, test whether you're born again ...

Please do not be satisfied with banquet experience, it is not everything, it is only one part of the knowledge of God. Do not trust other people about something as important as your eternal soul, ask PERSONALLY GOD, He has given you access to the Throne of grace.
If you do not have these two revelations, fell forward, please, and pray to God to give them to you because it is your eternal life, knowing HIM...
