I LIKE IT, I DO NOT LIKE IT

is the most elementary level of perception. To believe, to accept from God only things that we like and reject those that we do not like is a sign of immaturity, to say the least.
In the life of the believer there are times when we enjoy divine protection, care and blessing:

" Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm."(Psalm 105:15)

But there are times when God feels loyalty to his people and their dedication:
"Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.” (Psalm 105:16-19)

Why should Joseph be tested:
" The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom." (Psalm 105:20-22)

Joseph was entrusted with a huge responsibility - had become the ruler over the most powerful kingdom in his time, but even more important was the key figure in the implementation of the plan of God to God's chosen exile in Egypt for 400 years to meet the sin of the wicked tribes in Canaan that He would destroy them before.
"And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people; That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD."(Psalm 105:44-45)

Lord, please, give us grace to grow ин Christ’s fullness to fulfill Your wishes and desires in our lives. And Thy will be done, not ours.
