" For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world."(1 Corintians 11:31, 32)One of today's programmed phrases of the cradling false teachings is "When it is judgment, it is not from God but from the devil!"
There are three levels of judging.
The most favorable is to recognize ourselves in the condemnation of sin in the Word and ask God for grace of repentance (returning from the wrong direction and start walking on the right one.)
The second level is to be rebuked by God. The Holy Spirit of God comes to you with a spirit of conviction, confirming the "flashing lights and red traffic lights" on your conscience. The difference in the conviction of God and the condemnation of the devil is in the way, the manner.
When God rebukes, usually it is preceded, followed, or both by a confirmation of His love and care (at least to me does so). Feeling is uncomfortable because you have hurt the wonderful person God, but along with that, you feel His mercy, His Father's hand, giving you not just a correction, but a second chance and hope.
When you are condemned by the devil it usually comes suddenly crashes your head with a blame and while you're still unconscious, he is flooding you with accusations pessimism and hopelessness.
In the first case the result is growth in the second - depression, failure, dejection, despair.
The third level of judgment is with the world ...
Keep us, O God of this, we beseech thee, judge us, if necessary, correct us, so "we may not be condemned with the world."
