IDENTITY AND ACTIONS

This is who we are determines our actions, or our actions define who we are?
Due to the fact that our actions are indicators of our identity, we often put the cart before the horse - we think that our actions define who we are and fall into legalism, or at least try with superstitious insistence to keep certain, even be it biblical rules and rituals with the conscious or unconscious mind to demonstrate to others who we are ...
But in the moments when we capitulate and surrender to God in the realization of our powerlessness to reach God's standard, the Holy Spirit of God enters into the emptied of our ego essence, fills us up and lifts us up, giving us form and motivation for every action. Jesus surrounds us with himself, with the robe of righteousness, and all that is visible from the outside is HIM ...
Then actions are the fruit of grace and not of effort. And the glory is for Him, for the Lamb that was sacrificed for us.
